Third Opinion

Okay, I am not feeling really confident with doctors right now.
About 4 weeks ago I went to the ER. My left arm was not functioning properly and it had me worried. The doctor did not look at it or xray it. After 4 hours declared it was a pinched nerve and would work itself out.
Waited 2 weeks and nothing. Went to my doctor. You have Frozen Shoulder. Is that even a real condition? Yes it is.
Today I went to my first Physical Therapy session. It took her all of 5 minutes to inform me that there was NO WAY I could have Frozen Shoulder.

So now I am being treated for a strained rotator cuff and some tendonitis in the bicep.
Ain't medicine grand?

Something Cool Happened

Some friends asked me to create Wallpapers for their site. They liked them enough to give me my own page to display them.

Don and Lisa are a wonderful pair. I've read their newsletter for some time now and it is one of the emails I most look forward to. Think of it as the email equivalent to getting a Christmas stocking full of goodies every month.

Here is the link to their site. http://www.don-guitar.com/
Here is the link to the Wallpaper page. http://www.don-guitar.com/romanrw.html

Go there and look around. Sign up for the newsletter, check out the other stuff you will find their. Bookmark the page, you will be going back, again and again.

Thanks Don and Lisa, you two rock!

Extra Extra Read all about it!

I made the front page of the paper today!
When they said I would be in the paper, I figured a picture and a caption.
When the reporter said a story, I figured a paragraph or two.
When I got the paper this morning it was a quarter of the front page and about 2/3 of the second page. it was a long article and I am thrilled. I'm also hoping to be very busy since the reporter mentioned that I would be available for demonstrations and decorations for weddings and such.

Things could get really interesting.

Okay it's 2007. Now what?

It's a new year. Nothing all that exciting has happened so far, but then it is only the first day.

I tore the first page off my page a day calendar. It's Origami so I got to fold the cover into a boat. Why is it that even though the whole purpose behind a page a day calendar is to tear off the page it still feels wrong. I'll never get that page again. Sigh, I miss that page. I think I need my meds adjusted. LOL

There was some excitement last week. A reporter from the paper cane and interviewed me for an article about Origami and the peacock I made. He said it would be a couple weeks before it runs so I will have to keep and eye out.

I don't know if anyone is actually reading this blog so I guess I should advertise some.

Go back to volunteering at the church tomorrow. I miss being down there.

We start new classes on Wednesday. I am taking a class called "Intro To Church Leadership". Pastor suggested that it would be a good one for me, so that is what I am going to do.

BTW the peacock failed to sell during the auction. I'm not too sad. I don't mind getting to keep it.

Extra Extra! Read All About It

Well at least you will be able to in a few weeks.

Today I did an interview with a reporter from the local paper. He's doing a story about my doing Origami as a hobby. The main part will be about the creation of the peacock. It was a lot of fun.

When I get a copy, I will try and post it.

Santa: A Family Tradition

When mama and papa got married he gave her a Santa ornament for their tree.
Every year that ornament was the first one on and the last one off the tree.
When papa died, it was still the first one on, though often the others followed after much tears and remembrances. The old Santa was getting pretty worn out. The body had lost it's paint and was now just two silver balls with scratches. The hat and cape red felt with lots of worn spots and some dust bits that never came off.
When mama died the ornament still went on the tree, as long as I had a tree.
My sister keeps Santa for me now. She said she will give him back but only when I have a proper tree for him.
Guess next year I will get a proper tree, so Santa can come home again.
